Joe Morgan

Military Modeling

Joe's passion for WWII manifested itself in his extensive library and his collection of military models, specializing in 1/35th scale models of Sherman Tanks. Not merely content to create his incredibly detailed and exquisitely constructed miniatures, Joe carefully researched each of his creations.

Joe contributed widely to many popular modeling magazines. His articles appeared in such publications as "Military Miniatures in Review", "FineScale Modeler", "Military Modeler", "Military Modeling", and "Boresight".

His articles typically featured a short historical context for the armored vehicle, followed by step by step instructions on how to assemble the model. His photographs illustrated the most delicate phases of the construction and the final result. He provided his readers with priceless tips on how to achieve the most accurate representations with resin conversion kits that were his specialty.
